First Baptist Church of Lexington, North Carolina has officially opened its pastoral search process. First Baptist is seeking a pastor who will serve as the spiritual leader and overseer of the church and demonstrate the qualities of I Timothy 3.1-7 and Titus 1.5-9.
The church was organized in 1867 and continues to thrive today. Worship, outreach and community involvement are a few of its strengths. The membership consists of approximately 430 members.
A minimum of five years pastoral experience.
Candidate should be married.
Should have at least a Bachelors Degree; Masters Degree is preferred.
Starting salary will be determined based on educational level and experience.
Each candidate must consent to a criminal and background check.
Candidate should be able to effectively preach the Gospel, but also possess effective people skills.

Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church
Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church located in Greensboro, North Carolina is seeking a Pastor.
Full time position (40 hrs. Minimum) for the performance of Pastoral duties and responsibilities.
Direct the ordering of all worship services of the church as set forth in the Bylaws of the Gethsemane
Missionary Baptist Church.
Direct the performance of the Sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion as set forth in the Bylaws
of Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church.
Work with the Deacon Ministry in establishing, a yearly budget but shall have no jurisdiction over the
finances of the Church.
Agrees that he will at all time faithfully and to the best of his ability perform all duties herein described.
Agrees to serve in accordance with the Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church Code of Conduct.
Shall be the spiritual and administrative leader of the church and shall work in a spirit of cooperation
with the Deacon Ministry.
Perform at his discretion the rites of Holy Matrimony, Funerals or Memorial Services, the rite of Laying
on of Hands and the rite of Blessing, as set forth in the Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church Bylaws.
Direct the spiritual education programs of the church (Sunday School, Bible Study, Prayer Meeting, VBS).
Attend social events as part of his work schedule.
Perform hospital, jail and home visitation.
Shall be ex-official member of all organizations, departments and committees of the Church.
Shall be responsible for the performance of such other duties and responsibilities as may be set forth
and agreed to between the Pastor and Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church.
Must be a born again Christian and spiritually led.
Must meet the requirements of the Pastor stated in I Timothy 3: 1 -7.
Demonstrate a compassionate approach to visiting members inclusive of sick and the needy.
Good communication, leadership, administrative and counseling ability and interpersonal relationship skill.
Must possess a willingness to follow the Constitution and By-laws governing the church.
Must consent to a background, academic and credit check.
Must be interested in working with youth and young adults as well as seniors.

New Smith Grove Baptist Church
New Smith Grove Baptist Church is seeking candidates for the position of pastor. The church is located in a rural setting in Lexington, North Carolina. We have a 143 year history and a current membership of approximately 35 regular members.
Job Description: The pastor shall be the leader of worship, proclamation, education and pastoral ministries. The Pastor shall be responsible for leading the congregation, organization and Church staff in performing their duties. The Pastor is not responsible for doing all the work but to see that it is done properly. Visit and minister to member and prospective members in homes, nursing care facilities and hospitals. Demonstrate effective ways to witness and win the lost to salvation through Jesus Christ.
Responsibilities: The Pastor is responsible for leading the Church body in functioning as a New Testament Church. The Pastor is responsible for providing spiritual instruction and strategic leadership to the members, staff and ministries of the Church. It is the responsibility of the Pastor to understand and communicate well with all age groups (youth, senior, and adults) be an effective communicator of well prepared sermons. It is the responsibility of the Pastor to be a skilled counselor available to assist persons with personal and spiritual problems.
Qualifications: He shall be a save ordained Baptist minister, having served formerly as Pastor of a Baptist Church, and preferable married. The candidate for this position should exemplify the following twelve Biblically summarized qualities of pastor leaders as described in I Timothy, Chapter 3, and Titus, Chapter 1:
Personal character above reproach from inside and outside the church
Thoughtful, dignified, and self-controlled
Not a new believer
Not a substance abuser
Not violent, quick-tempered, quarrelsome, arrogant, or overbearing
Not a lover of money or a pursuer of dishonest gain
Gentle in his/her dealing with others
Upright and holy in his/her life before God
Loves what is good
If married, holds to faithful monogamy
An apt teacher who has mature in his knowledge of the faith, holds firm to sound doctrine and can impart it to others, and
can refute those who oppose it.
